In most of Asia, including Japan (where it was first launched in 1983), the Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Singapore, it was released as the Family Computer, also known as the Famicom or simply FC for short. Maps
Complete maps for Prince of Persia 1 NES have been released by Will David Mallia.
Visitors and members will just love to compare the DOS and NES version differences in the levels. Surprisingly, there is no shadow of the Prince in Level 12 of the NES version, only a skeleton.

This is an online NES emulator written as a java applet. And it can be a little slow, if you have some strange browser, slow computer or an old version of Java. Java is real performance eater, as it is both compiled and interpreted labgage and its interpreter is a real hog in terms of resources.
To speed up the game: If you scroll up/down so much that some parts of the image can't be seen, it's faster. And if you turn the music off it will work faster. OR simply: use a downloadable emulator+game.
Note: To pick stuff up, press the Down Arrow button.
Note 2: This the only PoP1 version where the screen moves with the prince. It does this too in PoP2 SNES version.
PoP NES 2 hidden levels
Taken from this topic: http://popuw.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1468
NES version contains two small hidden levels:
Hidden level #1 (code 44158128):

Hidden level #2 (code 42087225):

(david:) I think they're only garbage. I can't move the prince after I load them. (amdf:) In first level you can move right but not left.
How to get there?
(amdf:) I have counted codes. In NES version if you have one level code, you can get another codes by adding 1001 to the code.
For example:
If I have 2nd level code 73232535 than I can get another codes:
73233536 - 6 level
73234537 - 10 level
73235538 - 14 level
73236539 - again 2 level
Some of counted codes provide access to hidden levels.
