This download is in English language. The game comes with the original .exe file (uncracked) and a cracked .exe file (by R. Bubba Magillicutty) to bypass the copy protection screen. In order to play with cheat mode activated, use cheats.bat script file instead of running game by default executable. POPTrain is a PoP1 Savegame editor.

Prince of Persia 1 - Fat Guard Fix - Fat guard was meant to be killed by the Prince in the course of 6th level either by life points drain or by falling but not by deadly traps so, whenever the player manages to kill him by chomper or by spikes, fat guard will always disappear because there are no "chomped" or "spiked" animations in the original "fat.dat" file; this is why the Author put all his efforts to draw these animations and set proper palette for the joy of all level makers who lacked a bloody fight between Prince and fat guy.

Instructions
1) Download;
2) Extract;
3) Open up the Macintosh Package folder;
4) Open up "BasiliskIIGUI.exe" (** Notice the file name it is NOT "BasiliskII.exe"**);
5) Click on the "RUN[F1]" button in the bottom right hand corner;
6) Click ok on the cd rom error (if you get an error);
7) The emulator should start.
8) The icon for the HD is in the top right hand corner
Regarding PopMap: You have to double click on popmap and then go to file-open and navigate to the pop1 folder where you will find the prince icon. Click on open and it will bring up a list of levels in the game to chose from where you can then edit the level. I guess you should make a copy of the game first so you can preserve the original levels. And PopMap works fine: when you double click on popmac it will look like it disappears, but in reality what happens is the File/Edit etc.. menu items at the top change to be used with the popmap program and that is when you go to file open. and select the pop icon. It does this for many mac applications, I think that is just the way that system 8 works, but I assure you it is there. The same thing happens when you double click on stuffit expander, everything disappears and you have to go to file/ expand.
PoP OverAll
Written by hbzlmx: PoP OverAll is a tool to hack DOSBox to change or modify the output of PoP1 and PoP2 games with all their versions. Screenshots PoP1 - PoP2. Version 1.1 should include background effects.
Download (version 1.0 - August 2013): This is the first release where I tried to change the angle of view inside the games, in other words making a horizontal flipping to the game outputs. The key controls are also adjusted to play perfectly the games. The main bug is that texts inside cutscenes are also horizontally flipped (not lower texts inside games themselves) : PoP_Overall.exe

Prince of Persia 1 and 2 (Sound) with a Roland MT-32 Sound Card
The best music that was recorded from POP1. A Roland Music card is very nice but expensive today, 200-300$. This was Recorded with a LAPC-I the Synth. from a MT-32 and a AWE32 or SB 16 (it's to Limited an MT-32 is only the Synthenizer not a Soundcard).

If you want to extract the midis: First use SNES9x to grab each spc file from the sound test (hold start, press select). Then through Audio Overload, export them to wav files. You can try to get all the sound effects too, but it's more involved than that. Also, SNESGT emulator can dump the music in .spc format. You can use a special plugin to listen to SNES tracks in Winamp. It's called SPCAmp. There is a special spc player too (good alternative).
